Mid-span Joint Sleeve
Mid Span Joints are used to connect two lengths of overhead line conductor together between the pylon towers and are classed as overhead tension joints.
The splicing fitting is to join kinds of bare conductors and ground wires. It bears the same electric load as conductors. Mid-span Joint Sleeve bears all the tension of conductors and ground wires. According to the tensile condition, splicing fittings include the force-bearing type and non-force-bearing type. Splicing fittings include compression type and reformed type. And the compression type includes hydraulic compression, explosive compression, and compression with pliers.
